Job summary

STR's Intelligence Division seeks a Senior Data Scientist to research, develop, and integrate cutting-edge AI/ML models into production systems addressing critical national security problems.

You will analyze multimodal data, collaborate with engineers and domain experts, and communicate technical findings to customers. The role requires an MS or PhD, strong Python and ML stack skills, and an active security clearance. Arlington, VA or Woburn, MA; onsite work expected.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• MS degree with 3+ years of experience or PhD in statistics, data science, applied math, CS, physics or related field.
• Experience applying AI/ML methods to real-world data science problems.
• Proficient with Python and ML stack (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Ability to communicate results and collaborate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Analyze multimodal datasets to identify patterns and trends.
• Develop, evaluate, and apply AI/ML models to derive insights for analysts.
• Create robust models that generalize to national security problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor others.
