IPG is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead data-driven initiatives in bio-polymers and sustainable materials. You will apply advanced data science, statistics, and machine learning to experimental and process data to accelerate innovation and improve material performance.

You will collaborate with chemists, engineers, and data teams, design DOE studies, build predictive models, and deploy scalable analyses to support faster development cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of data science or scientific computing experience.
• Experience with materials science or polymer R&D data is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Partner with scientists to apply data-driven methods in bio‑polymer R&D.
• Model experimental, formulation, and process data to reveal structure–property relationships.
• Develop predictive models for material performance and formulation design.
• Design experiments (DOE) to maximize learning and reduce timelines.
• Build reproducible data workflows for ingestion, cleaning, and analysis.
• Apply ML techniques to complex scientific datasets and communicate results clearly.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in R&D.
