Job summary

This onsite role focuses on designing and deploying data solutions to maximize production and weapon system effectiveness, leading a team of data scientists and collaborating with software engineers.

The candidate will implement ML models, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure data security and regulatory compliance while staying current with AI advances in aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field required.
• 9 years of professional experience in data science, AI or ML.
• Programming experience: Python, Java, C, C++, C#.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and data quality standards.
• Build systems for data analysis to identify patterns and insights driving decisions.
• Provide technical leadership to a team of data scientists.
• Implement and deploy ML models with software engineering teams for customer environments.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to incorporate domain knowledge into models.
• Continuously evaluate and improve models for accuracy and scalability.
• Ensure data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle.
• Stay updated on advances in data science and aerospace technologies.
• Communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices.
