Job summary

Red Alpha is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to work alongside intel analysts in Maryland. This role focuses on developing solutions for pattern-of-life analysis using large datasets. Ideal candidates will have at least 10 years of experience in data science, a strong understanding of statistical methods, and practical knowledge of data visualization tools. A TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance is necessary. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including health, 401k, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on data science projects managing teams.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Experience or exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with intel analysts to develop prototypes for analysis.
• Manage teams on data science projects.
• Implement data science techniques to extract insights from large datasets.

Skills

Proficiency with a scripting language such as R or Python

Experience with data science techniques and algorithms

TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance

Large dataset experience

Strong familiarity with data science applications

Training in the design of visualizations in R, Python, Tableau

Experience with Apache Spark (Pyspark preferred)

Experience with Jupyter Notebooks

Basic Linux command line familiarity

Familiarity with Pandas Data Science Python Package

Education

B.S. in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field

A.A. degree with 2 additional years of experience
