Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to perform quantitative modeling and analytics of financial crimes under supervision. You will handle data gathering, methodology selection, performance assessment, documentation, and monitoring of models in AML/BSA/OFAC contexts.

The role requires advanced degrees and 3+ years of related experience, strong ML/AI skills, and proficiency in SAS/Python. Location is in Ohio with hybrid work options; relocation to Cleveland or Buffalo may be considered.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, data sciences, predictive modeling, or related quantitative field with at least 3 years' experience; 4 years with bachelor's.
• Strong expertise in traditional and ML/AI modeling approaches.
• Hands-on coding with SAS and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Under manager's oversight, perform model development and ad hoc analytics for AML/BSA/OFAC compliance needs.
• Research, compile and evaluate large data sets for model building suitability.
• Develop/maintain internal models and test/configure vendor solutions for sound design and performance.
