Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a data scientist to research and develop evaluation methods for improving product quality across Siri, Apple Intelligence, and other user-facing features.

You will partner with engineering teams to translate methodological developments into practical tools used daily for data-driven decisions. The role involves working with large datasets, building scalable analysis pipelines, and communicating insights across business partners and engineers.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant work experience with advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Proficiency in data science, machine learning, and analytics, including statistical data analysis.
• Strong programming skills with SQL and/or Spark; scripting language for data processing (Python, R, or Scala).
• Experience articulating business questions and using statistics to answer them; strong communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop evaluation methods to improve the quality of Apple user facing products.
• Work with evaluation/experimentation teams to translate developments into usable technologies.
• Build and prototype analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale.
• Partner with product engineering on core ML algorithms and user experience evaluations.
