Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Data Scientist, Attribution, to own attribution algorithms across risk categories. You’ll be embedded within a risk team and partner with SMEs, engineers, and product to deliver production-grade intelligence that helps trace illicit activity and disrupt crypto-enabled crime networks.

The role is fully remote, globally distributed, with overlap across PST hours for collaboration. You’ll apply SQL, Python, and ML techniques to ship impactful solutions at speed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in an analytical role with SQL, Python, and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Experience with distributed data systems such as Spark, BigQuery, and Airflow.
• Strong async communication and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Background in blockchain, fraud, money laundering, or cybercrime is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end attribution for a risk category, building algorithms and shipping to production.
• Collaborate with SMEs and engineers, translating customer needs into actionable intelligence.
• Navigate Network/On-chain/Protocol layers to uncover patterns.
• Ship production-quality code including heuristics and ML models.
• Drive measurable outcomes and impact for clients.
