Job summary

Zantech is seeking a Data Scientist for an on-site role in Arlington, VA, to lead advanced analytical and AI/ML initiatives for our Technical Infrastructure and Platform Support project.

You will own the strategy, design, and deployment of models, transforming multi-source data into actionable insights for workforce, logistics, and operations leadership. Strong governance and MLOps practices are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in developing and deploying analytical models for DoW/S&T requirements.
• 10 years in data science using Python, R, and SQL.
• 10 years wrangling data and building batch/streaming pipelines; NLP/network/bibliometric analyses on S&T data (2+ projects).
• 10 years using data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib).
• 5 years with big data and cloud-based analytics platforms.
• 5 years applying operational analytics to workforce, logistics, or readiness missions.
• Statistical analysis and predictive/prescriptive/descriptive/cognitive modeling; ML/AI model development and MLOps lifecycle management.
• NLP, network analysis, bibliometric analysis of S&T data; data visualization and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy predictive, prescriptive, descriptive, and cognitive AI/ML models and dashboards with stakeholders.
• Apply NLP, network analysis, and bibliometric analysis to S&T portfolio data.
• Support automated MLOps lifecycle management, including model registry, drift monitoring, and automated retraining triggers.
• Ensure AI/ML outputs comply with Responsible AI governance and security controls.
• Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to build a data-literate workforce.
