Job summary

IRC Trane Technologies Company LLC is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join its international AI in Engineering team. The role focuses on designing, building, and deploying AI-driven solutions to boost engineering productivity, model workflows, and data-enabled tools across Trane Technologies.

You will develop data science and ML solutions, build robust data pipelines, and collaborate with engineering and digital teams to integrate AI into product development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python skills for data analysis and app development.
• Solid ML, statistical modeling, and generative AI foundations.
• Experience handling raw and unstructured engineering data.
• Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, cloud services, and modern AI/ML tooling.
• Experience building or supporting analytics/AI applications.
• Ability to work across a distributed, international team.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop data science, ML, and generative AI solutions for engineering use cases.
• Build data pipelines, preprocessing workflows, and model-ready datasets.
• Design, test, and deploy predictive, optimization, and AI-enabled apps.
• Support AI software lifecycle through proofs-of-concept and planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into tools and workflows.
• Mentor junior team members and help establish repeatable methods.
