Qualifications

• Strong domain experience in Banking & Financial Services, asset and wealth management.
• Deep NLP knowledge and transformer architectures.
• Hands-on experience building Agentic AI solutions and managing complex agent state.
• Purposed hands-on Python/SQL coding in an IC role.
• Experience with Vector Databases (e.g., HNSW, IVFFlat).
• Location: US-based; Malvern, PA or Dallas, TX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply the latest data science techniques to address business problems
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to translate business problems into high-level analytics designs
• Design, build, and deploy advanced retrieval augmented generation pipelines using semantic chunking, hybrid search with dense plus BM25, and cross-encoder re-ranking models
• Develop autonomous multi-agent workflows with ReAct loops, native tool calls, complex state management, and deterministic circuit breakers
• Develop parameter-efficient fine-tuning and alignment methods for large language models (PEFT, LoRA, QLoRA, RLHF, DPO)
• Translate complex enterprise challenges into scalable AI architectures and technical prototypes
• Explain architectural trade-offs and system designs to senior client stakeholders, including RoPE vs ALiBi, MoE routing, and Pre/Post-LN considerations
• Lead deep-dive workshops on LLM evaluation and system safety, covering RAG Triad, LLM as a Judge, guardrails, and prompt injection defense
• Implement AI models with hands-on coding, knowing when to bypass heavy framework abstractions (for example LangChain or LlamaIndex as needed)
• Conduct large-scale data extraction, transformation, and analysis using expert-level SQL and Python
• Partner with asset management, wealth management, and banking teams to translate operational requirements into AI architecture designs
• Present insights and architectures to senior stakeholders and help drive AI strategy discussions

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of professional work experience with at least 5 years in Data Science
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in applied Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence
• Strong domain experience in Banking & Financial Services, specifically Asset and Wealth Management; backgrounds in Insurance or Contact Center AI/Analytics are highly considered
• Deep theoretical and practical knowledge of NLP foundations, Transformer architectures (Multi-Head Self-Attention, Positional Encodings), and vector space mathematics
• Proven hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI solutions and managing complex agent state across directional graphs
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and SQL; this is a purely hands-on, Individual Contributor role requiring heavy daily coding
• Experience configuring and optimizing Vector Databases (e.g., HNSW, IVFFlat indexing)
• Location: US-based, Malvern, PA or Dallas, TX preferred
