Job summary

Woven by Toyota is seeking data science engineers to enable the next generation of automotive software development. You will embed with engineering teams to apply statistical modeling, develop evaluation frameworks, and shape data strategy for data acquisition and ML training.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product leadership and cross-functional partners across our US/UK/JP presence. Ideal candidates have strong Python, SQL, and cloud experience, plus a track record of influencing

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python for data science and SQL for relational databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Skilled in statistical analysis and mathematical modelling.
• Able to develop analytical frameworks for data-driven decisions in ambiguity.
• Proven ability to influence engineering and product leadership.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Use statistical modeling to shape data strategy for data acquisition and ML training.
• Develop metrics and frameworks to understand data distribution.
• Provide data-driven insights to inform decisions and business impact.
• Communicate findings to stakeholders across engineering leadership and product.
• Embed with engineering teams to address domain-specific challenges.
• Promote best practices in data science and mentor other data scientists.
