Job summary

Doximity is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to advance analytics across our healthcare platform. You will work with extensive US healthcare datasets to uncover behavioral patterns and deliver product and client-facing insights.

Join a distributed team focused on actionable analytics, storytelling, and data-driven decision making. The role offers remote work within the United States and a competitive total compensation package.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience as a data analyst or data scientist.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, EDA, and probability.
  • Advanced SQL for complex queries across many tables.
  • Proficient in Python and OO programming for data work.
  • Experience with distributed data processing and Spark.
  • Excellent visualization and storytelling to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage datasets to identify and classify behavioral patterns of medical professionals.
  • Contribute to product and client-facing analytics.
  • Inform data strategy with product leaders and managers, and help plan team direction.
  • Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and developers to lead data projects end-to-end.

Here’s How You Will Make an Impact
  • Leverage Doximity's extensive datasets to identify and classify behavioral patterns of medical professionals on our platform.
  • Play a key role in creating both product and client-facing analytics.
  • Inform data team strategy by working with the product leaders and managers. Actively participate in execution and some planning of organizational data team strategy.
  • Collaborate with a team of product managers, analysts, and other developers to define and lead data projects from data ingestion to analysis to recommendations.
About you
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a data analyst or a data scientist.
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical concepts, especially exploratory data analysis techniques, and probability theory. Some exposure to machine learning methods (regressors, classifiers, etc.).
  • Advanced SQL skills to create and evaluate complex statements involving numerous tables and data relationships.
  • Proficient in Python and well versed in object-oriented programming concepts as it relates to data and Python.
  • Proficient in distributed data processing concepts and execution (e.g., working with column stores, leveraging spark, etc.)
  • Excellent visualization and storytelling skills to explain your results and solutions to the stakeholders, clearly and compellingly.
  • Fast learner; curiosity about and passion for data
Compensation

The anticipated total compensation for this role is $130,00 - $190,000, depending on factors such as experience, skills, location, and internal equity.

Our total compensation package may include:

  • Base salary
  • Equity (where applicable)
  • Annual bonus or incentive compensation (where applicable)

Specific compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
