Job summary

Jobtailor in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced data scientist to own and evolve end-to-end ML workflows. You will work with clients, select tools, and build models for document classification, extraction, summarization, and search.

You will deploy pipelines to production, interact with streaming data infrastructures like Kafka, and collaborate with MLOps. A TS/SCI clearance and a bachelor's degree are required; experience with Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with applied data science or ML roles, including Python, NLP, and LLM implementation
• 5+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
• Experience with production-level systems, data lake environments, and streaming data, including Kafka
• Experience implementing end-to-end ML workflows from data preparation through deployment and evaluation
• Ability to quickly learn infrastructure or systems concepts, including pipeline and data lake interfaces
• Ability to design, implement, and iterate on ML models for document classification, extraction, summarization, and search
• Ability to own data science workflows interacting with production systems streaming millions of documents per week
• TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience collaborating with MLOps and infrastructure engineers
• Experience supporting document indexing or search, GPU workloads, and distributed storage, including Cloudera
• Experience deploying Docker and Kubernetes solutions
• Experience with Databricks implementation and development
• Experience developing algorithms with Python, SQL, or NoSQL
• Experience with MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
• Security+ Certification is a nice-to-have
