Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Data Science & Engineering team. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced ML/AI solutions to accelerate product development and decision making.

Corteva Agriscience™ has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Enterprise Data Science & Engineering team. We are seeking an experienced data scientist with deep expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. In this role, you will partner closely with scientists, researchers, and technology teams to identify high-value opportunities, develop scalable AI and machine learning solutions, and accelerate data-driven decision making. You will be part of a globally distributed team of data scientists and engineers that is transforming how machine learning and AI are applied across the enterprise.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise, scientific rigor, and leadership skills with a passion for innovation. Experience applying data science in agricultural, life science, chemical, or related scientific domains is highly desirable.

The successful candidate may be located in Indianapolis, IN, or, for highly qualified individuals, remotely within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and hands‑on expertise in the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning and AI solutions to accelerate Crop Protection product development.
• Lead end-to-end data science initiatives, including opportunity identification, business problem framing, data acquisition and preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and value realization.
• Serve as a trusted data science partner and champion the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
• Drive innovation by evaluating and applying emerging technologies, including Generative and Agentic AI, to solve complex scientific and business challenges.
• Mentor and coach junior data scientists and cross‑functional partners to promote best practices, scientific rigor, and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with business, scientific, and technology stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into scalable analytical solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical concepts and insights effectively to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Educational Qualifications

• M.S. with 5+ years of industry experience, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Quantitative Chemistry/Biology, or a related quantitative field.

Required Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, including deep learning, neural networks, foundation models, Generative and Agentic AI.
• Proven ability to apply these technologies to solve complex scientific and business challenges, delivering scalable solutions that accelerate innovation and drive measurable impact.
• Proven track record of independently leading complex data science projects from concept to production deployment in an industry environment.
• Experience developing scalable analytical solutions using Python, R, or related data science technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms, MLOps practices, and deployment of production‑grade AI solutions.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and project management skills, with the ability to influence and drive outcomes across cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying machine learning and AI in agriculture, crop protection (e.g., molecule discovery, formulation development, process development), life sciences, biotechnology, or chemical industries.
