Job summary

TekStream Solutions is seeking a Principal Data Scientist Lead/Manager/Senior to drive NLP and GenAI initiatives in a fast-paced, production-focused setting. Based in Atlanta with onsite presence four days a week, you will guide model development and deployment for real-world analytics and AI products.

The role requires deep Python expertise, hands-on work with open-source LLMs, and a track record of delivering GenAI solutions and AI-driven analytics across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science with strong NLP/ML in agile prod environments.
• Proven delivery of GenAI/ML projects from conception to production.
• Expert-level Python and data science ecosystem (Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• 5+ years practical experience with open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama 3, Mixtral).
• 3+ years building Generative AI solutions including RAG, validation pipelines, observability.

What is Needed to be Successful

• 5+ years of experience in a data science role, with a strong emphasis on NLP and ML, working in an agile production-oriented environment.
• Proven Delivery: Experience successfully delivering multiple GenAI, analytical, or ML projects from conception through to production.
• Python Expertise: Strong, expert-level proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (e.g., PyTorch, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• LLM Mastery: 5+ years of practical experience with open-source Large Language Models (Llama 3, Mixtral, etc.), including prompt engineering, inference optimization, and fine-tuning.
• GenAI Solutions: 3+ years of experience building Generative AI Solutions, including designing and building RAG frameworks, validation pipelines, observability, and monitoring solutions.
