Job summary
Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Science to lead advanced analytics and network optimization initiatives supporting its multi-node fulfillment strategy. You will develop scalable models for network design, capacity planning, cost-to-serve, inventory, and transportation across FCs, RDCs, HVDCs, PDCs, IDCs, Stores, and other assets.
You will translate complex supply chain problems into actionable recommendations, mentor associates, and influence long-range network and investment decisions
Qualifications
- Advanced analytics and optimization for supply chain problems.
- Strong Python/SQL and data visualization capabilities.
- Ability to translate business needs into data-driven models.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and validation of data science models.
- Design data visualizations communicating insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements.
- Mentor team members on modeling techniques.
- Oversee model deployment and production monitoring.
- Drive data strategy and ensure data quality/accessibility.
