The Mostafavi Lab at the Center for Human Genetics and Genomics at NYU School of Medicine is seeking an experienced Senior Research Scientist to provide scientific leadership in statistical and computational genetics research. Our research program focuses on understanding the genetic basis of complex traits and diseases and developing improved methods for disease risk prediction. We work at the intersection of statistical genetics, population genetics, and computational biology, developing and applying novel analytical frameworks to large‑scale genetic datasets to translate genetic discoveries into biological insights and clinical applications. We are looking for an experienced scientist with extensive expertise in statistical genetics and human genetics to serve as a senior member of the research team. This individual will work closely with Dr. Mostafavi to advance the lab's research agenda while providing scientific leadership and mentorship to trainees.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $85,000.00–$100,000.00 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
