Job summary

ValueMomentum is seeking an experienced ETL Test Engineer for data validation across large-scale pipelines in the P&C insurance space. You will design and execute test plans, validate migrations, and ensure data quality from source to target with SQL, Spark, Hive, and Snowflake.

The role involves collaborating with data engineers, architects, and analysts, documenting results, and automating tests where possible to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 6 years of total technical experience on ETL testing.
• Experience with Guidewire Claims Center.
• Must have experience working in P&C insurance domain.
• Experience in developing ETL test plans, test cases and validating large scale data migrations.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, SQL, Spark, Hive and data migration.
• Advanced proficiency in writing SQL queries, hands-on experience with Hive, Spark, Spark SQL and data frame API.
• Experience with Snowflake data warehousing.
• Experience in testing using Informatica, IDMC, CDV, CDQ.
• Experience with data quality automation tools and frameworks.
• Ability to document and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on large datasets and be involved in ETL testing and validation between source and target.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and scripts to validate data accuracy and integrity.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of data pipelines and databases.
• Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues and anomalies.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to meet data requirements.
• Document test plans, results, and issues; communicate findings clearly to stakeholders.
