Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Data Product Manager to drive data product discovery and design across an assigned enterprise domain. You will translate business problems into scalable data products, partnering with Digital Partners and business stakeholders to deliver analytics-ready assets and AI/ML enablement.

You will align with Data and Solution Architects to ensure scalable, governed data products and a strong focus on measurable business value, ownership, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field.
• Product Owner certification or Product Management certification required.
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant product manager experience required.
• Experience delivering or managing data products, analytics platforms, or data-driven solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including data warehousing, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develops and governs domain-driven data product strategy and portfolio, aligned to business outcomes and enterprise standards.
• Defines and standardizes domain data concepts, entities, relationships, and KPI logic.
• Leads data product roadmap and prioritization, aligning capabilities and data assets to business value and enterprise standards.
• Translates business needs into logical data models and data contracts for reusable data products.
• Establishes data governance, quality, lineage, metadata, and stewardship standards.
