Job summary

PayPal is seeking a skilled data software engineer to design, develop and deploy data products and platform components. You will own critical data pipelines from ideation through production, aligning with business requirements and scalable architecture.

You will contribute to SDLC tasks, performance tuning and reviews in a collaborative team. The role supports partial telecommuting within a commutable distance, offering a balanced hybrid work arrangement alongside PayPal's benefits and growth

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field plus 2 years experience in data software.
• Alternative: Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years experience in data software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy software data products and platform for PayPal.
• Own data pipeline components and services from ideation to production deployment.
• Identify business requirements and help design large-scale architecture.
• Implement tasks within the SDLC with supervision from senior staff.
• Perform performance tuning, load testing and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with peers, manager, and project lead on tasks and reviews.
• Adhere to internal standards and participate in code/design reviews.
• Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.
