Job summary

FOX is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the AdRise data platform team, focusing on audience building at scale. You will design and optimize distributed pipelines, shape data models, and collaborate with data ops, product, and ad platform teams to drive advertisers' value.

The role requires 6+ years building production data or backend systems, strong Scala or JVM background, and experience with Spark, Delta Lake, Parquet, or Iceberg on Databricks. Remote options available.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building production data or backend systems.
• Strong programming in Scala or a JVM-based language.
• Hands-on with Apache Spark and Delta Lake/Parquet/Iceberg on Databricks.
• Distributed systems, data modeling, and performance tuning at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale distributed Scala/Spark pipelines on Databricks.
• Evolve the Audience Builder platform end to end (ingestion, identity mapping, activation).
• Model and manage large Delta Lake tables with partitioning and reprocessing at scale.
• Optimize cost and performance for 100+ node Spark workloads.
• Collaborate with Data Platform, ad ops, and product teams to meet business needs.
