Job summary

Sagent is seeking a Senior Data Services Engineer to design, build, and optimize data solutions powering the Mortgage Servicing platform. You will apply Python, cloud, and database skills to enable data-driven decision making across the organization.

The ideal candidate has strong software engineering fundamentals, deep experience with Python-based backend services, and familiarity with mortgage servicing or financial services to align technical work with regulatory needs.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant field or higher; 4+ years experience or equivalent.
• Strong Python proficiency for data engineering, automation, and analytics.
• Experience building Python backends with FastAPI/Flask/Django.
• Hands-on cloud and database experience.
• Experience in Mortgage Servicing or Financial Services.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and services in Python.
• Architect data solutions on cloud platforms using managed services.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes across diverse data sources.
• Collaborate with Product, Analysts, and Software teams on data-driven solutions.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers.
