Job summary

Xometry is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the Data Platform team. This senior individual contributor role owns data architecture decisions, designs scalable pipelines, and partners with engineering, product, analytics, and ML teams to move fast and ensure high-quality decisions.

You will lead the DFM AI + IQE integration with our partner ecosystem, build real-time data flows, implement CI/CD, and mentor others.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent experience with ownership of large-scale data systems.
• Proficiency with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses and performance tuning.
• Expert SQL and strong Python; willingness to learn additional languages as needed.
• Hands-on with modern tooling (dbt, Airbyte, Airflow) for pipelines and data sets.
• Experience planning and implementing enterprise data architecture across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and implement enterprise-scale data architecture and engineering solutions across systems and domains.
• Own the partner integration data plane for DFM AI + IQE with Teamcenter and Designcenter; manage bidirectional pipelines and data models.
• Build scalable batch and streaming data pipelines, data models, and platforms for real-time and event-driven flows.
• End-to-end accountability from data acquisition to delivery, observability, and performance.
• Define best practices for data modeling, CI/CD, testing, and schema evolution across partner boundaries.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, analytics, and partner teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Mentor engineers, conduct design/code reviews, and raise team capability.
• Stay current with data engineering tools, platforms, and architectural patterns.
