WHOOP is looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to enhance and operate the infrastructure for our data platform in Boston, MA. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to improve data systems' performance and reliability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data or platform engineering, strong skills in Python and SQL, and familiarity with AWS and Snowflake. WHOOP offers a dynamic work environment with a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $215,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering with ownership of production data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; Java experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the core infrastructure and services for WHOOP’s data platform.
• Improve the performance and reliability of data systems including Iceberg and Snowflake.
• Partner cross-functionally with Data Science and Software Engineering teams.
