Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering, distributed systems, or backend platform architecture.
• 2+ years in lead, staff, or principal/architect capacity.
• Experience with Temporal and Apache Kafka at scale.
• Expertise in data contracts, schema evolution, and lakehouse design.
• Proficiency with Python, Go, or Java/Scala.

Responsibilities

• Define multi-year roadmap and reference architecture for streaming and Lakehouse.
• Govern multi-tenant Kafka ecosystems with sub-second latency and exactly-once guarantees.
• Design data contracts, schemas, and automated testing across services.
• Lead Temporal orchestration and distributed transaction patterns.
• Mentor engineers and align architecture with business priorities.
