Job summary

Blue Ribbon Global Technologies seeks an experienced Data Modeler to design scalable, business-aligned data models for enterprise data platforms in Torrance, CA. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, engineering, ETL and BI teams to translate requirements into effective data models.

The role requires 10+ years of experience and hands-on expertise with conceptual, logical and physical modeling, including relational and dimensional approaches (Star/Snowflake).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modeling.
• Strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling (Star/Snowflake).
• Knowledge of SQL, normalization, denormalization, keys, relationships and constraints.
• Experience with data modeling tools: ERwin, ERStudio, PowerDesigner or equivalent.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data integration and analytics ecosystems.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, master reference data and governance concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead requirement discussions and design walkthroughs with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models.
• Translate requirements into entities, attributes, relationships and data structures.
• Design normalized and dimensional data models for analytic and operational use.
• Define data dictionaries and modeling documentation; maintain versioning.
• Conduct data analysis, source-to-target mapping and impact analysis for changes.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, ETL, BI and application teams.
• Support data integration initiatives across multiple systems; ensure governance compliance.
• Identify data quality issues and propose solutions; participate in design reviews.
