Job summary

Mphasis is seeking a Data Modeler to design, implement, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models across enterprise systems. The role focuses on data integrity, scalability, and alignment with business objectives across RDBMS, NoSQL, data lakes.

Responsibilities include designing OLAP/OLTP models, collaborating with analysts and developers, and ensuring standards. Requires strong SQL/NoSQL skills and data governance knowledge, with a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL/NoSQL and dimensional modeling experience.
• Experience with data architecture, performance tuning, and POC development.
• Knowledge of ETL, data governance, and compliance standards.
• Experience with non-relational data models and data lakes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise systems.
• Understand requirements and design efficient data models to fit client needs.
• Validate and reconcile models for accuracy and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and architects to translate requirements into data structures.
• Design and govern enterprise-wide data models for large-scale ecosystems.
• Align data architecture with long-term business objectives ensuring scalability & security.
• Architect OLAP and OLTP models for warehouses and data lakes.
• Collaborate with Data Governance on stewardship, MDM, and lineage mapping.
• Design non-relational models (Graph, JSON) for unstructured data.
• Analyze physical models and optimize queries, indexing, and materialized views.
• Create and enforce database development standards and best practices.
• Prepare DB design documents, DDL scripts, and metadata repositories.
• Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Support ETL processes, data governance, and security compliance.
• Provide training and consultation on data modeling principles.
