Job summary

Scotts Miracle-Gro is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Governance to support the implementation and enhancement of our data governance initiatives. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, compliance and effective data management.

Key duties include data quality analysis, metadata management, data classification, governance reporting, privacy compliance support, and training delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information management, computer science, or a related field.
• CDMP and CDGP certifications are preferred.
• 2–4 years of data governance or data analysis experience.
• Programming experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with data integration and governance tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data quality assessments with data stewards and tech teams.
• Manage and document metadata, data lineage and definitions.
• Assist in data classification and sensitivity assessments.
• Generate governance reports and provide improvement insights.
• Support privacy compliance and training initiatives.
• Participate in data impact assessments for projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policy adherence.
