Qubika is seeking a senior data engineer to design and deliver scalable data pipelines in Google Cloud. You will own end-to-end pipelines, from architecture to production, including AI-powered extraction from unstructured data such as PDFs, audio, video and drawings.

You’ll work across Oracle, CRM and internal tools to build foundational data products for the organization. You will design scalable data systems, implement CIM semantic layers, and ensure secure, observable data platforms with

• Senior-level data engineering experience with production delivery.
• GCP expertise: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, Dataflow/Beam, Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, Functions/Run.
• Experience with AI-driven extraction from unstructured data.
• Strong Python and SQL (BigQuery), dbt, ELT/ETL design and data modeling.
• Reliability patterns: idempotency, dead-letter queues, retries, schema evolution and data quality gates.
• GIT, CI/CD and Terraform/IaC.
• GCP security: IAM roles, workload identity federation, VPC controls and bucket ACLs.
• Medallion architecture and dimensional modeling.
• Ability to write technical design documents and explain architecture trade-offs clearly.
• Advanced English.

We’re building a central Data Engineering team that ingests data from enterprise source systems and engineering applications (Oracle, CRM platforms and internal tools), loads it into a Google Cloud data platform and delivers foundational data products for the whole organization. We’re looking for a senior engineer who pairs an architecture mindset with deep hands-on skills: someone who designs scalable systems and also builds and ships them to production. You’ll own pipelines end to end, from whiteboard to running code, including AI-powered extraction from unstructured data such as documents, audio, video and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end GCP data architecture: turn business requirements into technical designs, pick the right services per workload and define reusable patterns.
• Build and ship production pipelines from Oracle, CRM and engineering apps into GCS and BigQuery.
• Extract structured data from PDFs, Office files, audio, video and drawings using Document AI, Vision, Speech-to-Text, Vertex AI and LLMs.
• Build and maintain CIM semantic layers.
• Manage GCS and Cloud IAM with least-privilege access and cost efficiency.
• Build observability into every pipeline: logging, alerting, data quality checks and SLA monitoring.

Must have

• Senior-level data engineering experience, with a track record of designing systems and personally building them for production.
• Strong hands-on GCP: BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud IAM, Dataflow/Apache Beam, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub and Cloud Functions/Run.
• Experience with AI-driven extraction from unstructured data: Document AI, Vision/OCR, Speech-to-Text and LLM-based extraction.
• Strong Python and SQL (BigQuery dialect), dbt, ELT/ETL design and data modeling.
• Reliability patterns: idempotency, dead-letter queues, retries, schema evolution and data quality gates.
• Git, CI/CD and Terraform/IaC.
• GCP security: IAM custom roles, workload identity federation, VPC Service Controls and bucket-level access controls.
• Medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) and dimensional modeling for BI and AI consumers.
• Ability to write technical design documents and explain architecture trade-offs clearly.
• Advanced English.

Nice to have

• Experience building Common Information Model (CIM) semantic layers, especially in energy, utilities or infrastructure (IEC 61968/61970).
• Video Intelligence API and audio processing pipelines.
• Extracting data from engineering drawings (CAD or technical diagrams).
• Experience with Oracle and CRM platforms as data sources.
