Apex Systems in Denton, TX is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead the enterprise data engineering function, governance, and architecture for ODS, EDW, and Data Lake initiatives. This contract-to-hire role is onsite in Denton five days a week during the contract period, with a potential shift to three days onsite later.

You will mentor a team of engineers and analysts and drive data quality and policy adherence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of data engineering and data governance experience with supervisory/management role.
Experience designing and maintaining ODS, EDW, and Data Lake architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of data engineers and analysts.
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models for ODS/EDW/Data Lake.
Oversee ETL/ELT processes with SSIS, OIC, ADF, or SnapLogic.
Establish data architecture standards, quality, lineage, and metadata practices.
Lead data governance program and policy development.
Ensure batch and real-time data integration to support reporting and compliance.
