Job summary

EPAM Georgia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect and develop scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform. You will drive infrastructure automation, DevOps workflows, and real-time data processing in a remote-friendly role within Georgia.

You will work with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataform/dbt, and Airflow, coordinating across teams to deliver reliable data solutions. This role requires strong SQL/Python skills and excellent communication.

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with solid Terraform knowledge to architect, develop, and support scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform. In this position, you will spearhead the creation of reliable data pipelines while championing best practices in infrastructure automation and DevOps workflows.

Requirements

• 3+ years of practical experience with SQL and Python
• Deep knowledge of GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataform/dbt
• Competence in Cloud Composer/Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage
• Abilities in DevOps practices including CI/CD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Sound business acumen
• English skills at B2 level or above

Nice to have

• Certified as a Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
• Experience with Data Lake technologies like Iceberg
• Understanding of CDC through Datastream
• Grasp of Dataplex, Knowledge Catalog, and Analytics Hub
• Proficiency in Looker
