Job summary

Grailed, a GOAT Group marketplace, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure powering a leading fashion resale platform.

You will own end-to-end data pipelines, governance, and semantic layers, collaborating with data partners, engineers, PMs, and executives to deliver reliable data for decision making.

The role emphasizes availability, privacy, and practical tech choices, with a modern stack including Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Looker, and Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience with a foundation in software and data engineering
• Experience with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Fivetran, Segment, Looker, Amplitude, Algolia, AWS/Lambda, Git
• Deep experience building, maintaining, and architecting data pipelines end-to-end
• Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python
• Experience building and consuming APIs

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, availability, and accuracy of the data infrastructure with privacy compliance
• Build, maintain, and improve data pipelines using the modern data stack
• Create centralized, reusable data models for the broader business with AI/ML in mind
• Build a semantic layer with canonical dimensions and metrics
• Collaborate with Analysts, PMs, Engineers, Marketing, Legal, Fraud, and other stakeholders
• Proactively bring in new data sources and establish SLAs/SLOs for key dependencies
• Champion data governance and elevate data maturity across the organization
• Own feeds that support in-product marketing and growth channels
