Job summary

ImagineX Consulting is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines and architecture for cross-functional teams. The role focuses on scalable data delivery, real-time ingestion, and robust data modeling within a Microsoft Azure stack.

You will work with analytics, software development, and data science teams to ensure secure, efficient data flow across multiple regions and data centers. Strong communication and self-direction are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Azure tech stack.
• Experience with Azure Functions.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with Real Time/Streaming Data Ingestion.
• Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines and datasets.
• Experience managing ELT processes.
• Strong knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Integration & Ingestion.
• Advanced SQL with relational databases and various DBs.
• Experience with Azure data services (ADLS, Databricks, ADF, Synapse).
• Experience with data pipeline/workflow tools (SSIS, ADF).
• Experience with scalable big data stores and stream processing.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting business requirements.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for data delivery and infrastructure scalability.
• Build infrastructure for ETL using SQL and Azure big data technologies.
• Develop analytics tools leveraging the data pipeline for actionable insights.
• Collaborate with executives, product, data, and design teams on data needs.
• Ensure data security across national boundaries with multiple data centers and Azure regions.
• Create data tools for analytics and data science teams.
• Work with data/analytics teams to enhance data systems functionality.
• Conduct root cause analysis on data and processes to find improvement opportunities.
• Analyze unstructured data and derive insights.
• Build processes for data transformation, structures, metadata, dependencies, and workload management.
• Demonstrate history of extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
