Job summary

Forge Global seeks a Senior Data Engineer to own and enhance a data platform, delivering Forge data to internal and external clients. You will implement features, maintain functionality, review code, and deploy using Agile methods.

Based in New York, the role requires 2–3 days in the office in Soho, collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering to define requirements and deliver on time. 3–5 years in OO languages, Python, data lakes, SQL, and cloud platforms are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of development experience with OO languages (TypeScript, C#, Java).
• Python scripting for data tasks.
• Familiarity with Medallion Architecture and data lakes.
• Experience in Private Markets or Financial Services with market data.
• Proven CI/CD pipeline setup and data orchestration.
• Strong SQL skills and PostgreSQL experience.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Git/GitHub and Jira/ Agile tooling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data platform features.
• Implement data engineering solutions per estimates and requirements.
• Review code, write tests, and deploy production updates.
• Stay current with data engineering trends and advocate adoption.
