Job summary

Scale Media, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to own the data infrastructure behind its multi-brand ecosystem.

You will design and run pipelines sourcing data from Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo, and Odoo, ensuring trust and availability for analytics teams. As the dedicated data specialist, you will set the data modeling, movement, governance, and usage directions, collaborating with engineers to build robust systems.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills for building production data pipelines.
• Experience with Airflow, dbt, and cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Odoo data modeling, integrations, and upgrades.
• Shopify data/APIs and ecommerce platforms (Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo).
• Cloud infrastructure management on AWS or GCP.
• Data governance, security, and access controls are understood.
• Clear documentation habits and ability to explain data systems to others.
• 3–5 years in data engineering or closely related roles with full-stack ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize data architecture and ETL/ELT pipelines with scheduling and monitoring.
• Maintain hosting infrastructure and scripts as data needs grow.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability across sources for trusted reporting.
• Maintain API integrations and data connectors (Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Meta, Google Ads, Klaviyo).
• Scope and build new data integrations as the business adds tools and channels.
• Serve as the go-to technical partner for Odoo and plan upgrades.
• Design, build, and maintain integrations between Odoo and other systems.
• Oversee data governance, access controls, and security practices.
• Document configurations and data flows for cross-team understanding.
• Collaborate with analytics/marketing to standardize KPIs across models.
• Implement AI/ML-driven solutions for data enrichment, anomaly detection, forecasting, automation.
• Review workflows, improve performance, and enable data-driven efficiency.
• Own MCP connection to the data warehouse to allow LLM access.
