Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer, Observability Engineering to join the Enterprise Observability Platform. You will design, build, and operate scalable Databricks-based data pipelines powering observability, security analytics, and operational intelligence across the organization.

This role blends hands-on coding with engineering excellence, owning data platform best practices, reliability, performance, and governance while collaborating with Security, Infrastructure, and Platform

Qualifications

5+ years building enterprise data engineering solutions with Python, Spark, SQL.
5+ years designing large-scale data pipelines across multiple sources.
4+ years with Databricks in production, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
3+ years building batch and streaming data solutions with quality controls.
2+ years collaborating with cross-functional teams and security/compliance.

Responsibilities

Design and operate scalable Databricks data pipelines and lakehouse solutions.
Develop PySpark workloads and Structured Streaming with bronze/silver/gold layers.
Onboard new data sources and enforce governance standards.
Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, monitoring, and platform optimization.
Promote best practices for Databricks, Unity Catalog, and security controls.
