Job summary

SOSi is seeking an expert Data Engineer to join our analytics team on an innovative MLOps workload for a government customer in Huntsville, Alabama. You will build data pipelines, improve data infrastructure, and collaborate with data scientists to automate ML workflows.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in data engineering or related roles, strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with CI/CD and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 7+ years experience as Data Engineer/Scientist or similar analytical role.
• Experience in data engineering and/or software development.
• Expertise with Python, Git, YAML, Docker, and SQL.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and Agile methodologies.
• Experience developing back-end systems and services.
• Understanding of software design and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and storage systems.
• Design end-to-end data architectures and infrastructure.
• Lead teams building complex data pipelines and ML systems.
• Develop services and extend infrastructure to enable ML workflows.
• Integrate software components into functional data systems.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code in Python and other languages.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps best practices.
• Create technical documentation for software systems.
• Collaborate across teams to share knowledge and leading practices.
