Job summary

YouVersion Senior Data Engineer at Life.Church focuses on shaping, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems to ensure quality data for analytics, experimentation, and decision-making across the Bible App globally.

The role collaborates with Data Analytics, Software Engineering, and Product teams to govern data, drive architectural decisions, and mentor others while delivering end-to-end data initiatives aligned with Life.Church’s mission.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data or software engineering experience building production‑grade data systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver trusted data: build and maintain reliable data pipelines that provide accurate data for analytics and decision making.
• Own data systems: plan, implement, and operate ingestion, ETL/ELT workflows with emphasis on quality and scalability.
• Partner cross-functionally: collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering to instrument and collect usable data.
• Enable ML & LLM use cases: prepare datasets for predictive modeling and LLM‑driven apps.
