Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering delivering end-to-end Fabric solutions.
• Expert SQL and PySpark with Delta Lake knowledge.
• Strong dimensional modelling and medallion architecture experience.
• Experience with incremental loads, CDC, and data quality at scale.
• Git-based version control and CI/CD for data assets.
• Demonstrated leadership or mentoring of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and build of ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and Spark notebooks.
• Define Lakehouse vs Warehouse choices and medallion layering on One Lake with Delta tables.
• Design and optimize Power BI semantic models and guide report developers.
• Lead migration of existing workloads to Fabric including assessment, sequencing, and cutover.
• Set up CI/CD using Fabric Git integration and deployment pipelines with branching strategy.
• Define and enforce security and governance: workspace roles, row/column security, Purview.
• Own performance and capacity management and tune pipelines and queries.
• Conduct code and design reviews and mentor junior/mid developers.
• Run workshops, estimate work, flag risks, and maintain runbooks.
