Job summary

Neon Redwood is a data services consulting company in San Francisco seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.

You will work closely with the CTO and engineers on large-scale data projects, implementing ETL processes, data warehouses, and cloud-based solutions using Python, BigQuery and GCP. 5+ years of experience and leadership skills required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, BigQuery and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with data pipeline and ETL process design and development.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Leadership ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CTO and team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Write clean, efficient code in Python and related technologies.
• Implement and optimize data storage and processing solutions using BigQuery and GCP.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends to keep data infrastructure competitive.
• Assist in developing data-driven tools and products.
