Job summary
Allworth Financial is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Analytics & Insights team in Addison with a hybrid schedule. You will modernize legacy SQL processes into scalable cloud pipelines, enhance data governance, and mentor the data team.
The role involves architecture reviews and building production-grade data solutions across the data lakehouse stack. You will partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, design scalable data models for BI tools, and ensure high
Qualifications
- 5+ years in data engineering or similar roles.
- Strong SQL and data-wrangling skills.
- Hands-on PySpark or distributed processing experience.
- Experience designing cloud ETL/ELT pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, Delta Lake, SQL and cloud tools.
- Improve pipeline reliability, observability, and error handling.
- Review notebooks, SQL scripts, data models and orchestration workflows for performance.
- Guide best practices for Azure Synapse and related services.
- Identify tech debt and modernization risks; mentor team members.
