Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 5–7 years of data engineering experience in healthcare or research.
• Proficiency with AWS data services and data pipelines.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and Python development skills.
• Experience in regulated environments (HIPAA/NIST 800-171) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of high-availability data pipelines.
• Gathers requirements and reports progress to stakeholders.
• Document systems and processes for training and reference.
• Audits current computational systems and processes.
• Mentors and coaches junior engineers through design reviews and pairing.
• Collaborates with research and clinical leadership, faculty, and staff.
• Champions secure coding practices and regulatory compliance.
