Job summary

Q2Impact in the Pentagon/NCR seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure for J5 WPS statutory reporting and analytic functions. You will identify mission-critical data sources, manage curated datasets in the J5 Data Catalog, and develop AI-enabled tools for analysts and senior decision-makers.

Requires 3+ years leading data-centric programs and 5+ years in DoW/DoD contexts, cloud pipelines (AWS/Azure), Python or R, and dashboards (Tableau/Power BI). TS clearance.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on data engineering in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Expert-level data programming in Python or R.
• Experience building interactive dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) for senior leaders.
• Ability to present to Flag Officers/SES-level personnel.
• Familiarity with DoW data governance and interagency sharing.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engineer access to mission-critical data sources from across DoW and partners.
• Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines and centralized repositories.
• Publish and manage curated datasets in the J5 Data Catalog with clear documentation.
• Develop and maintain WPS AI agents to support analytics.
• Support data collection for NATO and annual WPS reporting requirements.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for senior military leadership.
