Job summary

VDart Inc is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Bellevue, WA to own the data architecture, pipelines, and analytics stack. You will lead ETL/ELT development using Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, and Synapse, with PySpark and Python for distributed processing.

Responsibilities include data modeling, API ingestion, and collaboration with data scientists and stakeholders during Agile sprints. Local residency in Bellevue, WA and USC/GC work authorization are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field.
9+ years of hands-on software/data engineering experience.
Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Proficient in SQL, Python, and PySpark for distributed data processing.
Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and RESTful API ingestion.
Knowledge of cloud data storage, data lakehouse governance, and performance optimization.
Excellent analytical, debugging, and stakeholder communication skills.
Must be a local onsite candidate for Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
Build scalable data warehouse solutions with Azure Synapse Analytics.
Develop PySpark/Python transformations and optimize distributed data processing.
Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for cloud data stores.
Integrate RESTful APIs and process JSON/XML data feeds.
Apply dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas in data models.
Ensure data quality checks, validation, and error handling across pipelines.
Document architecture, data lineage maps, and runbooks.
