Job summary

ApplyLogic Consulting Group, LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a Data Engineer IV to design, implement, and support enterprise data solutions for a Federal Government client. You will lead data pipelines, ETL/ELT, and data integration across systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.

The role requires strong SQL, experience with enterprise databases, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while collaborating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
7+ years in data engineering, data integration, or related discipline.
Advanced SQL and enterprise relational databases experience.
Experience designing and troubleshooting ETL/ELT and data pipelines.
Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and optimization of data infrastructure and pipelines.
Provide senior technical expertise for databases, ETL/ELT, and integration environments.
Design and oversee complex pipelines supporting multiple systems and sources.
Develop and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and data processing solutions.
Establish best practices for ingestion, transformation, storage, and processing.
Lead root-cause analysis and resolve high-impact data issues.
Guide data migration, modernization, and governance initiatives.
Mentor engineers and transfer knowledge to the team.
