TaxRise is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and scale the data infrastructure that powers reporting, analytics, and decision-making on AWS Databricks. You will own end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to delivery and work closely with cross-functional teams.

This on-site role in Irvine, CA requires hands-on expertise with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, PySpark, Python, and SQL. You’ll optimize pipelines, govern data access, and collaborate with Salesforce teams and

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience in a production environment.
• Extensive Databricks experience including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, and cluster/job optimization.
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL for distributed data transformations.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (Airflow or Databricks Workflows).
• Proven ability to design data models and pipelines that scale with business growth.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Databricks on AWS.
• Architect scalable ETL/ELT processes ingesting data from core systems.
