Job summary

Dreamix Ltd in the United States is seeking a Databricks-certified Senior Data Engineer to join our team. You will design scalable data pipelines, define canonical data models, and architect medallion-style solutions across cloud platforms.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts, build data integrations via APIs, ensure governance and security, and mentor engineers. We offer flexible hours, unlimited home office, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Databricks certification is mandatory and hands-on Databricks experience is required.
• Advanced Python and SQL, with experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience designing data models and modern Lakehouse/medallion architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data services.

Responsibilities

• Design and own scalable, production-grade data pipelines across medallion architecture.
• Define canonical data models aligned to business domains.
• Architect pipelines for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency with focus on performance.
• Build and optimize data workflows using Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables, Autoloader, Unity Catalog).
• Establish data quality, validation, and testing frameworks across pipeline layers.
• Ensure reliability through retries, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Partner with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data products.
• Develop and maintain data integrations and APIs for data access.
• Implement data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and support engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
• Troubleshoot and continuously improve data infrastructure.
