Job summary

Everforth Apex seeks a senior Data Engineer in Austin, TX for hybrid work to accelerate data migrations and analytics pipelines. You will design and implement Python- and Java-based ETL processes, ingest data into Databricks Delta Lake, and develop BI-ready semantic models for dashboards and reports.

The role requires 6–8+ years in enterprise data systems, strong SQL and Spark skills, and experience with CI/CD tooling.

Qualifications

• Six to eight+ years of software and data engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience implementing legacy-to-cloud data migration utilities and multi-source ETL pipelines.
• Strong hands-on Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Spark SQL experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark) and Java (Spring/Core).
• Ingest and catalog data into Databricks Delta Lake with attention to data integrity and governance.
• Develop reporting solutions in Databricks SQL, Power BI, or similar tools for stakeholders.
• Coordinate end-to-end testing, validation, and sign-offs between legacy sources and modern targets.
• Establish robust error handling, monitoring, and CI/CD deployment through GitHub Actions/Jenkins/Azure DevOps/ArgoCD.
