Plaid Inc- Plaid is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help scale data systems and build gold datasets used by engineering, product, BI, and business teams. You will design robust data pipelines and partner with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated data engineering experience, solving complex data pipelines at scale.
• Experience building data models and pipelines on datasets ranging from hundreds of TB to PBs.
• Strong SQL skills and familiarity with modern data orchestration tools like DBT, Mode and Airflow.
• Experience with data warehouses and data lakes such as Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks.
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines using Spark and Kafka.
• Ability to design evolving analytics schemas over unstructured data.
• Willingness to explore new technologies and deliver proof-of-concepts balancing tech advancement and user needs.
• Comfort working in low-level data infrastructure and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to data privacy and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Understand Plaid product and strategy to inform dataset choices and usage principles.
• Own core SQL and Python data pipelines powering the data lake and warehouse.
• Lead data engineering projects that foster cross-company collaboration.
• Advocate for appropriate industry tools and practices.
• Ensure well-documented data with defined quality, uptime, and usefulness.
