Job summary

D&H Distributing Co. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Data Platform to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines powering enterprise analytics and AI enablement.

You will work on SAP BDC/Datasphere integration, Databricks Lakehouse architecture, and curated data products in a governed environment. The role requires strong SQL, ETL, and data modeling skills, with collaboration across business users and IT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience extracting and summarizing data from varied sources using ETL tools.
• Experience writing complex SQL statements to extract and analyze data.
• Experience interfacing with business users to understand requirements.
• Experience with Tableau and Cognos a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines powering enterprise analytics and AI enablement.
• Review and optimize data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL processes on NETEZZA platform.
• Collaborate with business users to understand functional data requirements and improve models.
• Develop data transformations and manage metadata, dependencies, and workloads.
• Provide on-call support for production data systems on a 24x7 rotation.
• Engage in design reviews and code reviews with the BI team.
